Weather Policies

SNOW POLICY: In the event of measurable snow, and Junior High and Senior High Youth Meetings are not cancelled, the planned activity for the evening will be postponed and we’ll be sledding instead.  Students are encouraged to bring their own sled(s) and to dress warmly.

WINTER WEATHER POLICY: If Rushville and DeKalb Schools cancel classes or dismiss early due to snowy or icy conditions, then all church youth activities for that day are cancelled.  If weather conditions change for the worse on a day off, or after school has already dismissed for the day, Andrew will post any schedule or activity changes on the Youth Facebook page.   Feel free to contact Andrew via phone or text message if you have any questions.

SUMMER WEATHER POLICY: If there is an active Tornado Warning when Youth group is supposed to start, then Youth will be canceled for that night.   This is for Tornado warnings only.  Thunderstorm warnings and Tornado watches will usually not effect youth group times although they may alter the planned event for that night.  The Church and youth house are equipped with basements and should a tornado warning be triggered during youth group,  the staff will take appropriate measures to keep the teens safe.
